Elon Musk’s AI Venture, xAI, Introduces Grok API

Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup, xAI, has recently unveiled an API for its premier generative AI model named Grok. At present, the API includes one model, referred to as “grok-beta.” The pricing structure for using this model is set at $5 per million input tokens and $15 per million output tokens.

The newly launched API is designed to enhance functionality by supporting function calls. This allows the Grok models to seamlessly integrate with external tools and databases, paving the way for more sophisticated applications. Additionally, the API provides a glimpse into future enhancements that will enable Grok to analyze both textual and visual data.
