This consideration arises from concerns related to national security. The U.S. government recognizes American AI chips as a crucial strategic asset on the global stage, and these Persian Gulf countries have been actively investing in AI data centers.
This potential move follows previous actions taken by the U.S., where export limitations were applied to these advanced AI chips to 40 other countries. The primary aim of these restrictions was to block indirect access to these technologies by China.
