Apple to Acquire Photo-Editing Platform Pixelmator

Apple is in the process of acquiring Pixelmator, a popular photo-editing platform. Pixelmator has reassured its users that there will be no immediate significant changes to its existing applications, including Pixelmator Pro and Pixelmator for iOS. The acquisition is currently awaiting regulatory approval.

Once the acquisition is complete, Pixelmator’s features may be integrated into Apple’s Photos app, enhancing the photo-editing capabilities available to Apple users. Founded in 2007 in Vilnius, Lithuania, Pixelmator believes that joining forces with Apple will enable them to reach a wider audience and have a more substantial impact on the creative community.
