Google Introduces SynthID Text for Watermarking AI-Generated Text

Google has recently unveiled a new technology called SynthID Text, designed to help developers watermark and identify text created by artificial intelligence (AI) models. This innovative technology is now accessible to the public and can be obtained from Google’s AI platform.

SynthID Text operates by adjusting the probability of generating tokens, which are the fundamental components utilized by generative AI models. This adjustment results in a distinctive pattern of scores that effectively acts as a watermark.
