Blue Origin’s Second Human-Rated Spacecraft Launches Miniature Monoliths

During the inaugural voyage of Blue Origin’s second human-rated spacecraft, a collection of small black slabs inspired by the monoliths featured in the film “2001: A Space Odyssey” were launched into space and subsequently retrieved. These miniature replicas were transported aboard the RSS Kármán Line, which is the fourth New Shepard capsule developed by Blue Origin. In addition to these miniatures, the mission carried 11 other payloads, including navigation sensors intended for Blue Origin’s landing initiatives and sensors funded by a NASA TechFlights grant.
