Marissa Mayer Discusses Yahoo’s Decline

Marissa Mayer, who previously held the position of CEO at Yahoo, recently shared her insights on the factors that contributed to the company’s decline. She pinpointed the primary reason as the company’s tardiness in adopting mobile technology. Mayer highlighted that the transition of Yahoo’s products to mobile platforms was overdue by five to eight years. Despite various initiatives to rejuvenate the company, Yahoo faced ongoing challenges and was ultimately purchased by Verizon in 2016 for a sum close to $5 billion.
