Elon Musk’s Humanoid Robot at Tesla Robo-Taxi Event

During the recent Tesla robo-taxi event, Elon Musk introduced his humanoid robot, Optimus, which became the center of attention. The robot demonstrated its ability to move through a crowded room without any physical attachments, captivating the audience.

Despite the initial awe, it was later disclosed that the robots were not operating autonomously as implied. Instead, they were being remotely controlled by human operators. This revelation showed that the robots were more akin to “metal marionettes” rather than independent machines.

The disclosure about the robots not being autonomous sparked criticism and led some to dismiss the demonstration as a simple “parlor trick.” The lack of transparency regarding the true capabilities of the robots was a point of contention for many.
