SpaceX Achieves Groundbreaking Rocket Catch with Mechanical Chopsticks

SpaceX recently accomplished a groundbreaking feat by successfully “catching” the first-stage booster of its Starship megarocket using mechanical “chopsticks” at the launch pad following a test flight. This achievement represents a world first in SpaceX’s ongoing efforts to achieve rapid reusability of rocket components. The booster, which was initially launched with the Starship rocket, executed a controlled descent back to the same pad in Texas, where it was securely grasped by the launch tower’s mechanical arms.
